The study is to examine the role of practicum in preparing teacher candidates to use evidence-based practices for K-12 online teaching. Each candidate needs to complete a practicum by designing, developing and delivering an online or hybrid 3-week module to K-12 students. After the practicum, each candidate writes a summary evaluation report of their impact on student learning and the evidence-based practices used. The results and implications will be discussed in the presentation.
