This study explores and investigates the professional experiences of educators with racial bias in school cultures and the ways that those experiences affect their engagement with professional development and relationships with other teachers, administrators, parents, students and others in their professional practice. Educators shared their personal experiences and how they develop as teachers and manage their professional practice while addressing experiences with racism while revealing that racism is experienced by educators in many forms including institutional policies and microagressions.
