Color coding the parts of speech is one visual scaffold that supports English language learners in learning English syntax. This presentation showcases an instructional tool developed to allow users to manually color code the parts of speech; as each part of speech is labeled by the user, it tallies the parts of speech. The tool was developed as a free Google Docs add-on for the purpose of being accessible to more K-12 teachers and students.
