Students in three semesters of an online public health course engaged in an authentic learning collaborative project to build dementia friendly businesses and communities. Instructional design informed the project from inception to evaluation, providing a robust experience for students and documented outcomes for the instructional faculty and the community. Students participated in a short survey assessing the value of this real life assignment.
