Short Description

Online education has become an integral part of higher education with increasing demand for online undergraduate programs for nontraditional students. However, online undergraduate programs have low retention rates and extended time to completion. The purpose of this quasi experimental study was to identify grit teaching strategies in higher education and their impacts on students’ retention rate and course management skills. This presentation reports the results, which may enhance online nontraditional students’ success in online programs.
