Campuses across the nation are creating new positions in e-learning leadership, often at the vice president or provost level. Frequently, those applying for such positions have been faculty members, but have never served in administration. They need rapid access to an overview of perspectives to consider and tasks to be accomplished or maintained. The book provides comprehensive guidance to a person stepping into administration from a student or faculty position or other role in education or business. Book chapters cover topics that must be addressed or understood by e-learning administrators. Students, instructors, and administrators will benefit from the book’s learning design, because, interactivity is built into each chapter. Each chapter begins with a statement such as- “At the conclusion of this chapter, you will be aware of the need to administer the following:” [list of performance objectives]. With each major chapter concept, authors embedded questions, quizzes, self-checks, prompts, or activities to help readers relate the concept to their current or hypothetical future experiences. Chapters end with a summary, conclusions, recommended support materials, and references.
