In a time of remote learning and increased protests against racial injustice, educators are using online communities for informal professional development. This research uses six different methodologies to look at the experience of an all but invisible participant, the online lurker. Including this research in the showcase would highlight how to use multiple methods to find the core of this type of elusive lurking experience and also show how critical research methods can be combined with better known qualitative analysis methods.
