Using Systems Thinking to Address Behavioral Outcomes for At-Risk Students

Mon, Nov 2, 3:00 to 4:15pm EST (3:00 to 4:15pm EST), Virtual AECT, Grand6

Short Description

This presentation will describe the systems, feedback, and utility of a model and present a new method through which systems thinking can facilitate awareness, self-regulation, and positive behavior modification for a group of students for whom traditional means have not worked. It will provide the theoretical and practical underpinnings for using a systems-thinking approach to better understand human physiology, thoughts, and behavior alongside robotics programming to teach at-risk students how to better control negative behaviors.
