Approaches to using devices in the classroom can be classified as learning with technology or learning from technology. few if any studies have compared learning with technology to learning from technology in the classroom. The current study compares a constructionist approach that incorporates learning with technology, and an instructionist, learning from technology approach to support reading comprehension. Findings suggest that in-depth reading comprehension and motivation are better supported in a learning with technology approach.
