According to the National Science Foundation (NSF) 2016 report on doctorate recipients at U.S. universities, only 7% of doctorates awarded in the field of education were for Latinxs. This panel aims to acknowledge the role of the Latinx community in the ID field. Panelists will share challenges they have faced as Latinx researchers and how they overcame them. We believe this panel would be ideal for current Latinx graduate students and AECT participants more broadly.
