Using Problem-based Learning to Teach Systems Thinking

Short Description

In this presentation, I describe the redesign of an online graduate asynchronous course entitled Organizational Change in Education where students are expected to articulate a personal vision for change, analyze the complexities of change, and create plans for change from a systems thinking perspective. The redesign is grounded in problem-based learning with a focus on process and product outcomes. I will discuss challenges of PBL in online environments and design choices for teaching systems thinking.
