Giving Virtual Office Hours a Makeover: Improving Instructor Presence

Short Description

All instructors have the joyful challenge of supporting the learning of individual students. Some online instructors have turned to virtual office hours via videoconference as a means of connecting with students and supporting their learning. However, simply offering virtual office hours may not be enough to get students to actually attend. In this session I will explain the first iteration of an intervention I implemented to encourage more students to participate in virtual office hours.
