Short Description

This presentation will provide insights into the development of a degree-oriented online certificate program from two instructional designers. The User Experience Design Methods program is scheduled to launch through Coursera. The interdepartmental design team from the university includes faculty, instructional designers, administrative members, and instructional technologists. The program design emphasizes collaborative social learning and embraces the idea of learning by doing. The design process will provide implications for institutions considering culturally situated international online programs.
