Comparing Instructional Design Graduate Programs in Two Cultures: US and Namibia

Sat, Nov 7, 10:30 to 11:45am EST (10:30 to 11:45am EST), Virtual AECT, Grand3

Short Description

This paper shares an exploratory case study examining how the features of a successful U.S. graduate program in instructional design applies to a similar, yet developing program in Namibia. Based on the findings from observation data and interviews, the study identifies program-level design decisions that might be applied across cultural contexts. Highlights include analysis of the common and unique challenges faced by faculty working in the same field in two different cultures.
