In academia the recognized forms of scholarship is in flux. Manuscripts, journal articles, book chapters and books are still the usual forms of recognition in this field and now, as social media is more pervasive there is a push for shorter and alternative forms of scholarships. Demonstrating socioeconomic value and impact through other distribution channels are slowly being included in promotion packages. This panel introduces some channels where research and practice are converted into informed commentaries and/or actionable pedagogical guides.
