Moving a youth maker group online during COVID, observations of changing mentor-youth interactions

Short Description

Observations and findings from four years as an embedded researcher within a summer youth maker group will be reported. Due to year four coinciding with the pandemic, the group had to move online.
Foci of this presentation will be on the characteristics of mentors who were present and how the nature of their interactions with your participants changed while online. Mentor grouping suggestions, preparation, and interaction recommendations will also be discussed.
