ADDIE as a Process for Preordinate and Responsive Evaluation in Design Research

Wed, Nov 3, 12:15 to 1:15pm CDT (12:15 to 1:15pm CDT), Virtual, Online 5A

Short Description

This concurrent session reports a Category 3 Research Methodology paper about using both preordinate and responsive strategies for evaluation in response to learners in unpredictable, uncertain, or ongoingly dynamic events. The session explores ADDIE as a domain-and-theory-agnostic process that is linear and iterative, and can mix preordinate and responsive evaluation strategies for methodological innovation. It shares two examples of using ADDIE to organize evaluation processes without requiring deduction from a complete, predetermined theory of evaluation.
