Short Description

Maintaining discipline in a virtual classroom during the COVID-19 pandemic can be challenging, leading to educators feeling a loss of power that was easily wielded in their face-to-face classrooms. This can be attributed to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. This session weaves together the experiences of k-12 teachers as they navigate discipline in virtual spaces, how it differs from face-to-face teaching, and the extent in which it meets classroom management styles.
