The purpose of this study is to investigate faculty members’ self-efficacy beliefs about the teacher-student relationship in the context of pandemic-driven technology integration. We aim to add empirical evidence to the literature base about the parallel development of teacher-student closeness or conflict during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will also look into faculty members' subjective perceptions of the transactional distance between student and teacher (TDST) in online learning settings and how they affect their teacher self-efficacy (TSE), as well as the factors and variables that induced this phenomenon.
