This study analyses the perceptions of pre-service special education teachers’ applications of assistive technology devices within the lesson planning process. Participants were required compose lesson plan that incorporated Universal Design for Learning concepts and at least two different applications of assistive technology devices. These lessons were then analyzed according to content area, grade-level, and technology being applied. Findings from this study will assist teacher prep-programs instruct the applications of assistive technology with their teacher candidates.
