This poster presentation will demonstrate ongoing design-based research, developing a 3D design-oriented game-based learning environment that teaches integral concepts of computational thinking (CT) for learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Using Minecraft, the proposed project aims at learning experience design particularly for ASD learners to foster their understanding of fundamental CT ideas via block-making gameplay. This presentation includes the details of game-based learning modules development including a competency model, design-based learning activities, and formative assessment.
