Short Description

Observations and findings from five years as an embedded researcher within a summer youth maker group will be reported. Due to the pandemic, year four saw the group forced to move online. During summer 2021, the group chose to stay online, allowing a more proactive design approach. Foci of this presentation will be on the characteristics of mentors and how the nature of their interactions with the participants and others mentors changed between summers.
