Psychology is clearly important in our field, as we design instruction based on instructional theory for learners that we understand through learning theory. In addition, many scholars argue we need to be less technology-centric and more theory-centric. And yet, psychology is usually only lightly taught in our programs, often with a single course on learning theory, often ignoring insights from other aspects of psychological research. In this session, we will develop openly licensed content for teaching a course sharing Insights from Psychology, applied for instructional designers.
