Short Description

The social media platform Reddit offers moderated, anonymous online spaces where self-directed learning can occur as teachers face diverse challenges. This study focuses on content tagged for beginning teachers in the r/Teachers subreddit, the largest teaching-related discussion forum on Reddit. We analyzed the most popular 300 posts to find what topics and challenges appeared. This presentation will prompt discussion on the challenges of professional transitions and potential benefits of self-directed learning in anonymous online spaces.
