Short Description

Abstract: This study reviewed the emerging AI studies in education to investigate teacher’s and student’s pedagogical roles in AI-involved learning envirionment. We retrieved 55 studies that applied AI in education and critically extracted the critical characteristics of the AI applications. Based on the analysis, we developed a framework to characterize the pedagogical roles of teachers and students interacting with AI, including pedagogy, responsiveness, and autonomy. We provided examples to depict the three dimensions of the framework.
