This panel seeks to explore the emergence of new perspectives in learning design, including learning experience design (LXD) and learning engineering (LE). Traditionally, our field has focused on identifying design stages and delineating specific learner tasks. LXD and LE consider broader interactions and experiences of learners with technology. These perspectives foreground learners and incorporate human-computer interaction and data-based decision-making. This panel will explore themes around LXD and LE and discuss theoretical and practical implications.
