Short Description

This presentation shares a standards-aligned instrument for evaluating teachers’ edtech competencies. A survey derived from four sets of popular edtech standards (ISTE-Educator, AECT, AACE TETC, and NSQOT) was developed and administered in four phases to a total of 184 teachers. Constructive response, cognitive interviews, and Rasch empirical analyses were used to refine the valid and reliable instrument. Practical implications for EPPs, school districts, accreditation bodies, and others that measure educators’ edtech competencies will be discussed.
