Self-regulated learning (SRL) is considered a key competence for online continuing education (OCE). However, many learners struggle to successfully engage in SRL. We conducted a think-aloud study to evaluate an adaptive feature that helps learners self-regulate their learning processes and to develop guidelines for supporting SRL in OCE. Participants evaluated the feature as intuitive and supportive in terms of SRL. Implications for supporting SRL in OCE and future research are discussed.
