Exploring the Evolving Landscape of Simulation-Based Education in Nursing Undergraduate Curricula: A Bibliometric Investigation

Examining trends in simulation-based learning in undergraduate nursing programs from 2018-2023, this bibliometric analysis utilized the Web of Science database, R program, and data visualizations. By identifying top research areas, co-citation patterns, and themes in simulation education, the authors revealed four areas of co-citation research: Simulation, Higher Education, Virtual Reality, and Medical Education. The overview's results can aid future research directions and review emerging practice trends, aligning research trends with best practices.
