Teacher education students teamed up with elementary teachers in 8 schools from 5 local districts to teach a 10-week curriculum wherein 4th graders engaged in storytelling, wiring, coding, designing and developing “Digital Storyboards.” Students designed storyboards with lights, sound, and movement to retell literature they had read. Pre/Post results demonstrated statistically significant gains with large effect sizes on students’ confidence for, interest in, perceived utility, social value and perceptions of coding.
