There is an increased effort to provide equitable access to computing education. This session presents findings from a district-wide formative evaluation of a STEM/Computational Thinking Professional Development Program for paraprofessionals teaching computational thinking as part of a K-6 STEM specialty class. The evaluation examines how the year-long professional development impacted paraprofessionals’ understanding of computational thinking. The session will conclude with recommendations for supporting paraprofessionals understanding of computational thinking moving forward.
