The literature is full of predictions that AI will assist with improving the efficacy of learning transactions. It appears that those who support Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the teaching and learning process is a means to make it more efficient by bypassing human autonomy and free choice all together and by taking these out of the equation will shortcut the process. This presentation describes AI and its potential to change teaching and learning in significant ways
