Despite a lack of empirical support, learning styles persist as a component of instruction within school systems and teacher professional development. This study uses a survey and interviews to investigate how and what teachers are being taught about learning styles, what they believe, and how (or if) they integrate learning styles into their classrooms. The findings can help open the discussion between researchers and practitioners on this debated topic and offer insights into how to best confront the myth.
