In education, using Photovoice allows students to bring authentic learning experiences into the classroom. The method of Photovoice involves using cell phones to take pictures for educational purposes. A digital divide exists regarding internet and computer accessibility, however, most students possess or have access to cell phones. Photos can be used to support more diverse curriculum experiences in the classroom. Photography is a powerful teaching and learning tool to enrich and provide a diverse curriculum.
