Researchers have conducted studies on esports; however, little is known about women’s experiences leading these programs. This study explored the essence of women’s lived experiences in leading collegiate varsity esports programs at higher education institutions. Following a descriptive (transcendental) phenomenological methodology, the construction of each participant’s individual textural description was associated with these six themes: managing tasks, facilities, and people, interfacing with people, women in leadership, and the work environment. Additional findings will be discussed.
