The purpose of this session is to discuss a study conducted to evaluate how a realistic and evidence-based simulation on clinical skills impacted nursing students' proficiency, self-assessment of proficiency, confidence, enjoyment, and anxiety. Implications for designing and implementing simulation-based skills instruction will be discussed. Audience members will be encouraged to share their own experiences related to the design, development, and evaluation of simulation-based instruction.
