The demographic shift of the US population is bringing more diversity in high school classrooms leading the teachers to be more culturally aware to make their lessons equitable. A high level of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and empathy will empower teachers to meet those needs. This study aims to explore the potential of Extended reality (XR) to improve CQ among pre-service teachers by triggering Situational Interest(SI) and measure how XR works in teacher training contexts.
