The ECET framework is a teacher decision support tool for considering practical efficacy value of an educational technology, feasibility of implementation given constraints, and ethical questions about implementation, vendors, and student outcomes. Participants will learn how their technology choices impacts teaching, learning, and instructional design. Focus will be on why teachers should reflect on whether they should adopt a tool given potential positive and negative student outcomes from perspectives of privacy, learning efficacy, and ethics.
