Researchers have conducted studies on the benefits that mentors have on the success of early career educators and how nurturing teacher leadership through professional learning communities leads to collaboration and professional growth. However, further research is needed on how online mentoring can have a positive impact on the retention rate of early career educators. This study maps the literature that identifies the overarching strategies/recommendations that have been found to foster early career educator-mentor online relationships.
