Short Description

This session will provide background on trauma-informed pedagogy and its connections to instructional design and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in higher education. We will explore how instructional designers can apply a lens of trauma-informed instructional design as part of equity-centered course design practices. Resources for implementing equity-centered trauma-informed instructional design in needs assessments, program development, and course kick-off meetings will be shared.
