Presenting a college course on creativity in high school through dual enrollment.

Wed, Oct 18, 11:00 to 11:50am EDT (11:00 to 11:50am EDT), Doubletree Main Conference Center - Seminole, Gold Coast III

Short Description

Through dual enrollment, a university credit course designed to develop learner creativity was offered to high school students in a private high school. Creativity is an essential skill often ignored in traditional education. Student performance in the course was compared with students from the parallel university course using the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, and they scored at a comparable level in most metrics. Observations from the process and experience will be presented.
