Q Pedagogy: Bringing Students’ Subjectivity into the Design of Instruction

Tue, Oct 17, 8:00 to 8:50am EDT (8:00 to 8:50am EDT), Doubletree Main Conference Center - Seminole, Seminole B and A

Short Description

Q pedagogy, an instructional adaption of Q methodology, is a teaching approach that values the subjective viewpoints of students and incorporates them into the design of instruction. Using a special data collection technique called a Q sort, Q methodology reveals clusters of people within a group that share a common viewpoint. Instructors can then design classroom activities that capitalize on these groupings.
