Developing A Checklist As a Guide to Conduct Multimodal Learning Analytics Research

Short Description

A decade of research on multimodal learning analytics (MMLA) has led to various research designs and techniques. Though still a nascent field, MMLA literature is exponentially growing, calling for further research to guide researchers on common practices of the field. To address this desideratum, we developed a checklist that synthesized prior and current MMLA research. We will discuss the process of developing our checklist and detail its use, addressing implications, challenges, and opportunities for research.
