The concept of leadership is often laden with imagined stresses, worrisome expectations, and misinformation. However, there are core skills and practical models that can be leveraged to assist the neophyte as they assume a new role and progress in their career. This session will introduce established and emerging leadership models, explain some of the expected skills of leaders in our field, and strategies by which attendees may seek to develop these skills for themselves.
