Welcome to the 2022 AEJMC Online Paper Submission Site.  The programming groups within the Council of Divisions of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) invite submission of original, non-published, research papers to be considered for presentation at the AEJMC Conference, August 3 to 6, 2022, in Detroit, MI.  All peer-reviewed research must be submitted via this site.  The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. CDT.

The AEJMC Board of Directors have decided to proceed with the in-person conference we are contractually obligated for, which will take place in Detroit Michigan, at the Detroit Marriott.  We are so excited to reunite face-to-face with our members, after having a virtual conference for two years, but we also understand and hear the concerns of attendees regarding travel, in-person meetings, health & safety, etc. surrounding COVID variants. Our top priority is to have the safest in-person conference possible. 

However, if you are uncertain about attending in-person or will possibly be under travel restrictions at the time of the meeting, there are options. We encourage you to go ahead and submit to the paper competition, if you are interested in doing so. You may withdraw at any time if needed. If your paper is accepted, you may withdraw by June 15, with no penalty, or have a proxy present your paper on your behalf.
