Given their penetration across higher education institutions, learning management systems are a compelling technology that can be used to advance theory and bring together practical insights concerning the use and implementation of learning technologies in higher education. This paper reports on a longitudinal analysis of instructors’ use of a learning management system and describes multiple attitudinal and contextual factors that are related to instructors’ use of learning management systems.
