The research examined the quantitative methods and qualitative methods used in the research. The research explored if there are differences based on the article types. The findings showed that there were more qualitative articles published however, the quantitative articles used a variety of advanced multivariate techniques. The only differences between article type was length of articles. The findings suggest that specific training is needed in both methods of research for doctoral students.
