Abstract

Young entrepreneurs who have just started their business have to deal with ill-structured problems in their everyday life. Entrepreneurship research points to problems, if not spotted in time and coped with successfully leading to an economic crisis of the young business or even to its break down. Thus it is a great challenge to the entrepreneur to realize critical incidents in everyday life in time and to deal with it adequately. Constituting a critical incident is the first step to perform successfully.
We conducted a cross-sectional study and an intervention study. The results show that evaluating critical incidents is a matter of entrepreneurial expertise and they encourage to implementing active entrepreneurship education settings which foster deliberate practice on critical incidents.
