Session Submission Type: Demonstration/Performance
This presentation features a group of contemplative researcher-practitioners who will explore with the participants an integral approach to creating moments of awakening in the classroom. We are engaged in and wish to share a collaborative contemplative inquiry (our collaboratory) that grounds itself in the interpenetration of inner and outer, self and other, mind and heart, matter and spirit. Our approach integrates the methodologies of subjective mindfulness, intersubjective, dialogical encounter, and an awareness of our sociocultural, historical, and ecological situatedness. This mindful interpenetration may release consciousness from conditioned reactivity into spontaneous emergence. When consciousness can experience such generous freedom then it is truly capable of moral responsibility as well as creativity in all domains of education.
