Sun, April 15, 10:35am to 12:05pm, Vancouver Convention Centre, Floor: Second Level, West Room 217&218

Session Submission Type: Paper Session

Abstract

This session provides compelling links between cognitive and psychosocial factors in STEM teacher education. The set of papers in the session also extends beyond the boundaries of the traditional “knowings” in teacher education to include teacher and student affect. The presenters link these factors to STEM achievement and one of the papers in the session includes an international focus on STEM teacher education. Together, the group of papers provides a concise viewpoint on educational psychological factors that influence teacher learning, and performance.
